This episode opens with the roommates at the Improv. Charna tells them that they will not be having class during the next week because they are going on a trip to Cancun, Mexico. That night, after spending some time talking about the trip, they go out to a club and get drunk. Back at home, Dave is passed out in the bathroom, so Will does a little “antiquing” (throws a clump of flour at him), and convinces Brittini to do the same. Dave eventually wakes up, but he isn’t pissed off. Meanwhile, Brittini talks to Will about wanting to be friends with him, and she is glad that he will be away from Janelle on their trip to Mexico. Join me after the jump to find out why she’s so glad.

The first-ever Sedgwick without a YouTube video.
But, I promise, it’s worth it. (So is The Quarter Pole.)
If I blow your memory on your spine, would you think back?

At least by months, we’re officially halfway through 2008. And because I am a blogger and enjoy both creating arbitrary segments of time for my own writing purposes and the compilation of shamelessly subjective lists, I have (another) one of the latter for one of the former. This one’s about music. (more…)

Let’s get this out of the way first. New Tip.
I can say I’ve been a T.I. fan since “Rubber Band Man,” but I’m going to have a really hard time seeing Clifford sell even 500K given how cold he was while fighting charges for having Army guns.

Random Shit To Make You Angry Monday, June 30, 2008

So, I was just reading a random stupid article about The Hills (cause I’m 17% gay) on USA Today (cause I’m 62% dumb) and I came across this quote from Heidi..
“I don’t even want to talk about that,” Montag says. “There were rumors about a sex tape, but I had nothing to do with that. God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and I’m going to get persecuted, ya know? But it doesn’t matter to me.“
Jesus and Heidi Montag. Ideological twins.

The newest feature to DeadOn’s Music Commentary, this is “I Spent Money On This?”, taking a self-deprecating look at my numerous bad musical purchases.

Yes, I know these recaps would be more effective if they weren’t presented 2.5 days after the episode airs, but I have a real life here, people! Anyway, this episode opens with Brianna getting a phone call from Alex Band (you know, the guy she sang back-up for at the benefit concert? the former lead singer of The Calling? Keep up, people!) where he thanks her, and asks if she wants to come into the studio to record her vocals. Brianna heads to the studio and begins recording, but she has a really difficult time and decides that it isn’t her “kind of music” so she stops. Join me after the jump to find out if this lazy girl will ever work at her dream.

After seven weeks of breaking city girl hearts and making Mrs.JB* wish she could drink, tonight, Our Farmer Matt will be choosing his blushing bride-to-be. And given this is the show which gave us the tasteful elimination of “stick your hand in the cow’s uterus” and the tactful “I’m going to put your name in lights… to kick you out“, I can only imagine the proposal will be one which every viewer of the CW will take note of for their own future question-popping.
So, drop to one knee, get a tissue, and join me after the jump (a day late thanks to power outages; thanks Alliant Energy!) for the biggest question one she should only have to say yes to once in her life…

So, this is the obligatory post in the blogworld in which we bid farewell to Will Leitch. Obviously, we at DeadOn have every reason in the world to be thankful to Will. Both DeadOn and Ladies… were both born of Deadspin, and not just Deadspin, but of DU!AN. And on the same night at that. I don’t do long, eloquent anythings well - so I’m not going to try here. All I’m gonna say is this: Thank you, Will. Thank you for providing a web site where we could all gather with other smart asses who don’t really want to perform our jobs from 9-5. Thank you for providing the place where we’ve met great new friends, both online and in the real world. Thank you for all of your work over the past few years. I’ll be sure to set up a “Will Leitch” Google Alert now, because God knows I’m not about to start reading New York Magazine. God speed you, Midwestern Blog Emperor.
